With a height of around 1500–1650 meters above sea level, Sapa is one of the fascinating tourist destinations in the northern region of Vietnam. Sapa is a country of humility and peaceful beauty that conceals stunning natural scenery. It is also home to several ethnic minorities, including the Black H’Mong, Red Dzao, Xa Pho, Tay, and Zay. Sapa is also known as the “town in the cloud” because when people visit, they forget about everything and enjoy the fresh air, clouds, sky, beautiful beauty, and spectacular location.

A 2-day 1-night tour from Hanoi to Sapa by Elena Viet Nam Travel will help you to explore and experience Sapa. You will have the chance to admire the beautiful scenery as you travel the longest highway in Vietnam before enjoying yourself in Sapa.

Day 1: Depart to Lao Cai

Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi departing to Lao Cai (245km), it takes about 5 hours to travel the new highway to Lao Cai. The car ride brings a good chance to see the beautiful scenery of the region along the way.

Arrive in Sapa. Relax and have lunch at the restaurant. Check-in at the hotel/homestay of ethnic people.

Afternoon, start a 4-hour trek to visit Lao Chai – Ta Van and Giang Ta Chai village, explore the local ethnic minorities life, and admire the spectacular natural scenery with the terraced rice fields. Visit Sapa’s ancient rock formations with engraved images big and small, the unique patterns of the ancients, as well as admire the picturesque bridge to the clouds clear over the Muong Hoa stream.

Enjoy the dinner with a local specialty and your choice of spending the night at a hotel or homestay with a local family.

Day 2: Cat Cat Village – Hanoi

Wake up and enjoy the fresh air and atmosphere of Sapa. Breakfast at hotel/homestay.

Exploring Cat Cat – Shin cha village of H’mong – a colonial French discovered area and a renowned resort to officials from the early twentieth century. Arriving in Cat Cat village, visitors will be visiting the Hydro-power station, and the waterfall of Cat Cat village, as well as learning about the culture, customs, and unique people here with traditional crafts such as weaving, carved silver, and forged agricultural tools.

The car picks up and returns to Sapa town.  Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Free time to walk around or shop.

In the afternoon begin your journey back to Hanoi. End the tour in Hanoi.
