Ninh Binh (pronounced Neeng Beeng) is 100km away from the South of Hanoi, Ninh Binh province is blessed with natural beauty, cultural sights. many well-known beautiful places such as Hoa Lu capital which is the first capital in Vietnam, Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, Tam Coc – Bich Dong, Bai Dinh pagoda, Van Long Nature Reserve, Kenh Ga, Thung Nham, Phat Diem Church, Cuc Phuong national park and so on. Day 1: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Bich Dong Pagoda 

In the morning, our driver will pick you from Hanoi central departing to Ninh Binh province (100 km south of Hanoi). Have a break for 20 minutes halfway to relax and experience Vietnamese handicraft products such as lacquer wares, paintings, embroideries…

Our next destination is Hoa Lu, which was once depicted as the ancient capital of Vietnam, settled up in the 10th century and then our tour guide will take you to temples of two dynasties of Dinh and Le with very unique architecture in the old time.

To continue, you will join the excavation area beside the Le Dai Hanh temple. You’ll experience the vestiges of Royal palaces ground dating back to the 10th century. 

Next, we’re going by coach to Tam Coc.

What kind of activities were you involved in here?

Cycling ride (optional): Those who love to explore real countryside images of Vietnam can proceed a 40-minute cycling ride along the country lane (it takes about 40 minutes for 5km cycling 2 ways from Tam Coc to Bich Dong Pagoda,) and enjoy the beautiful scenery of lush paddy fields. Finish the cycling ride at Tam Coc docks in time for lunch in the restaurant.

Then take the sampan boats (2 people share a boat) to Tam Coc dock and melt into the nature of the river among the villages, mountains and lush rice fields. Passing through 3 caves “Hang Ca – First cave, Hang Hai -Second cave, Hang Ba – Third cave” to get a strange feeling.

Then back to the shore and walk to your hotel.

Day 2: Mua Cave – Bai Dinh Pagoda – Hanoi 

 

In the morning, the driver will pick you up at your hotel for Bai Dinh Pagoda, the biggest pagoda in Vietnam with 500 La Han statues, the biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam with 10 meters in height, and 100 tons in weight.

Have lunch in a local restaurant with some local special dishes such as Goat meat with elderberry, pork…

After lunch, you will be transferred to Mua Cave.  Here, you would be very interested in hearing about Mua Cave’s interesting stories which were told by our guide. From the top of the cave, you can see the majestic landscape of Tam Coc. Continue climbing 500 stone steps more, you are on the top of the mountain where you can enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the countryside and the wonderful c. It is the most beautiful place to view in Ninh Binh, where you can see the city far from standing in front of Tam Coc in the back and the limestone mountain to the south of Vietnam.

Getting in the car for returning to Hanoi.
